Welcome, this site will enable you to find out about our current production, our future productions and events, as well as giving an insight into this, the premier amateur dramatic society in the area.

Also included on this site is a fascinating look back at the Society's history, including numerous archive photographs (as far back as 1925!) and examples of previous programmes, and a page of links to other theatrical-based websites.

If you wish to find out more about the Society and its activities (or be included on its mailing list) please click on Contact Us. Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy looking over our fascinating site.

As a registered charity we are reliant on the generosity of our patrons and members to enable us to produce high quality productions that challenge our performers and enthrawl our audience. If you would like to make a donation to the society you can now do this via PayPal:

ChairmanIntroduction to the Society by the Chairman

Cody Musical Theatre Company is the area’s premier amateur musical theatre company and as we approach our centennial year, we have some fantastic productions programmed to bring to your entertainment.

Cody provides quality entertainment at a fraction of the cost of the London West End and we have been privileged to have received several awards from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) to which we are affiliated.

In the past, Cody has re-created some of the most challenging shows ever to have appeared on a West End stage, such as Jesus Christ Superstar where we were the first amateur company to have been given the rights following it’s run in the West End. In 2015, the company changed its approach to bring a more modern and challenging repertoire to the stage and so we are now delighted to have been granted by The Really Useful Group the licence to stage “Evita”, an exciting ‘coup’ for the Company. To my knowledge, this will be the first adult amateur production of the show which will adhere to all credit requirements outlined in the licence.

Keep in touch of all our past, present and future productions by visiting this website on a regular basis. Alternatively, if you would like to be kept informed of the progress on our future exciting productions, please sign up to our mailing list.

We rehearse throughout the year on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and stage two major musical productions annually. Rehearsals take place at Velmead Junior School, Velmead Road, Fleet and all productions are performed at the Princes Hall, Aldershot, usually in late March and September.

We are always looking to welcome new members, male and female age 16+, to the Company both for performance and also to support the myriad of roles ‘behind the scenes’. So if you are interested to learn how to be a Stage Manager, Sound Engineer, Properties Manager, Front of House Manager, etc or you simply enjoy being part of a team and facing a challenge, then why not become involved and experience the thrill and excitement of live theatre. If feel you would like to learn about any of the above roles, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
